  2. INSTALLATION OF AZ_PROJ
  3.  
  4.     This installation procedure assumes you are
  5. using a DOS machine and are using Ghostscript to output
  6. to your display and to a non-postscript printer. No 
  7. installation is neccessary for a Postscript printer.
  8.  
  9.     1. Copy the AZ_PROJ zip file and the Ghostscript 
  10. zip files to the directory of your choice (eg az_proj). 
  11.  
  12.     2. Run the install.bat file (contained in the 
  13. azprjxxx.zip file). This unzips the zip files and puts the 
  14. files into the correct subdirectories.
  15.  
  16.     3. Check that Ghostscript works on your machine by
  17. running the test batch files suggested by the install program.
  18. One of these tests Ghostscript in graphics mode and the other 
  19. tests Ghostscript in text mode. Do not even think about trying 
  20. AZ_PROJ until Ghostscript can pass these two tests.

  22.     3. Run the example .bat files contained in the AZ_PROJ package
  23. These will produce some standard maps centered on the ARRL HQ, in CT, USA.
  24.  
  25.     4. If everything works so far, then you can customise the
  26. maps to your QTH, by editing az_ini.ps and various data files 
  27. to customise the maps for you.
